
Established in 1900 Haworth West End plays its cricket in the heart of Bronte Country. The cricket ground is situated on the moor tops of Haworth and is said to be the highest cricket ground in Yorkshire at a height of 1,000 feet above sea level.
The club operates two senior teams which compete in the JP Mewies Craven & District League. The teams had contrasting seasons in 2007 with the 1st XI being relegated from Div 3 and the 2nd XI winning silverware as Div 5 Champions. The club also has a very well organised junior section which plays its matches in the Upper Airedale Junior Leagues. The clubs U15 team are the current holders of the Raleigh Hargeaves Cup as well as the Johnson & Johnson Div 2 Champions. The 2008 season will see the club run U11's, U12's, U13's, U15's, and U17's teams in the league.
Winter Nets
Indoor net practice will commence at Bradford & Bingley CC. (Wagon Lane) For all the teams on Sunday 6th January. U11's and U13's will start at 3pm and finish at 4:30 pm while the U15's, U17's and senior players will practice at 4:30pm until 6pm. The cost for practice will be £2:50 Per Person. Please try and make an effort to attend.
